Reading
Alphabetizing: Faith finished placing letters on her wall in the correct order to complete the alphabet display. Then we practiced thinking about objects in alphabetical order. I chose four objects from her toy box and asked her to name them, tell me what letter they started with, and then place them in a line on the floor in alphabetical order. We did this several times and she improved with each one.
Art
Free coloring time. Faith has been working on filling in the whole space with color rather than just scribbling on a part of it.

Reading
Faith read The Disappearing Magician by Dickson.
Science
Watched a short timelapse video on Antarctica in one year. We saw what the landscaped looked like in different "seasons" and saw how scientists lived and contructed buildings there.
Faith became interested in seeing more time lapse videos. We watched several about decay (an apple, a watermelon, etc.), one of a woman who took her photo every day for 3 years, someone's yard through the seasons of one year, and ants eating a piece of ham on a sidewalk from start to finish.
Reading, Science
An Ant's Day Off, by Becker.
Discussed ant life in real life and compared the story to what we saw on the time lapse video.
