Life Skills
Went to the post office today to buy stamps and mail our Christmas cards. Faith helped choose which stamps to use and then put them on the envelopes. She put the cards in the slot at the post office to mail them and then looked through to see where they had fallen. We discussed how mail gets from one place to another. When we came home, we retrieved our mail and opened Christmas cards from friends and family. Faith was fascinated to see that one of the cards from Evanston, Indiana had the same stamps that we had just picked out!

Week of December 1-6

Art
I showed Faith the art of cutting paper snowflakes. We created many different designs and hung them in our front window for everyone to see.

We painted ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree. Faith chose a wooden reindeer to paint with acrylic craft paint. Then, she glued googly eyes on it for the final touch.

Faith decided to make her own craft today. She used craft sticks and glued them together with the drips from the hot glue gun I was using (for my own project). Her artistic creation looked very much like an angel fish. So, she decided to paint it with ocean themed colors using acrylic craft paint.

Read a verse or passage and discussed it. Afterward, Faith copied it onto her own paper.
